    Back nodger

Dont know if you have seen it advertised, but I just invested in a back nodger. It is a device for applying pressure to knots in muscles known as trigger points. I have suffered a lot with shoulder blade knots and my osteopath used to get them out then told the missis she could do by applying pressure to the knots. Unfortunately she has not the strength in her hands.

Anyway, normally sceptical about such products i noticed they referred to the same "trigger points" so i thought for thirty quid (cost of one visit to my osteopath), i would give it a go. It does do what says on the tin. Painful to do but you can feel the relief in seconds as the knot releases. Can be used on the back hip neck and shoulders. It can be done as often as you wish to keep the knots at bay and i get them a lot from doing jobs like fence or skirting painting or even sitting at the computer too long.

Wondered if anyone else has tried the product and if it worked for them. Apologies to you lithe, fit lovemaking machines this is for the older and bolder who are feeling the years like me methinks.

    Thanks Gwyn,

Shame they don't do something for the lower back....as you say the Chiropractioner costs £30 for a 30min session.

They do actually demonstrate the lower back Al unless you mean the coccyx area. Only got it today but early results are good. I will continue to use it as daily regime rather than waiting for a knot to develop. I will drop another post in a week or so to update my findings ie was it worth the investment.

Well I have given it a good trial and I have to say that for me it is a superb bit of kit. It is uncomfortable to use but no more than an osteopath ramming his thumbs into the knot and without the added pain of coughing up another £30.
