Thanks for your measured reply Steve, and to the others members who chipped in. Many forums have had real problems with this subject, with quite a lot of nasty arguments breaking out between individuals who are normally quite sociable to each other. (i'm also on a motorhome forum ffs and its like world war 3 has broken out!!!) On that note can we draw a line under it now please and let normality return.

Steve you must have a blinkered view regarding your comment about black nod mixed race youths being stopped during the Toxteth riots. You seem to misunderstand that the population in Toxteth in hose days were (according to research at the time) 78 - 82% mixed race. So proportionally it's understandable so many were stopped and searched!

Not blinkered mate I was there, Why is it understanable that they were constantly stopped and searched. Toxteth is a mix of black, mixed race , white, But it was mostly the black and mixed race lads getting stopped and searched.
