Army Pension Increase
Has anyone seen anything about an increase in the Pension.
I have not nor have I seen anything about a pay rise for serving soldiers.

Re: Army Pension Increase
Roger, as you know Pension rises are dictated by the CPI of the previous September end Ie September 2012 which was 2.2%. As there has been no announcement to the contrary, Pensions should increase in April by 2.2%.

Re: Army Pension Increase
Regarding the pay increase some say 3.3 % whilst others say it will be the 1 % max dictated by government so i guess we will just have to wait and see.
Certainly nothing has come down from on high at work so far as i know

Re: Army Pension Increase
I was going to start a thread regarding my pension but I'll hijack this if you don't mind. I'll be 55 in Jun & I know my pension will increase but do I need to
take any action ? if yes, what ? also how do I find/work out how much I'll receive ? Thank you.

Re: Army Pension Increase
Richie you need do nothing it is all automatic and you will receive your update before it is due. The increase is hard to predict exactly due to the low pay rises over the past few years (index linked). When I got mine about 3 years ago my pension increased by about 87% or thereabouts.

Re: Army Pension Increase
Last year we received notification of the pay rise on 28th March which was 5.2% (CPI)
Link below confirms 2.2% for 2013.
