I can not express my feelings at the moment, Gaynor and Wendy were in constant touch because of them both dealing with this terrible sickness, Wendy is devistated by this news as I am, our thoughts go out to all the family, God has yet another Angel form the Royal Welch Family.

Our heartfelt condolences go to Wayne Rita Gary and Tony and their families on the lost of a wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Gaynor was a very special person with a large personality well liked by those who had the opportunity to know her. Mike carol and family.

Oh dear, dear, dear. How sad. Our thoughts are with all of Gaynor's family at this awful time. Gaynor, like her Mum and Dad, epitomised every aspect of the Regimental family that was the Royal Welch Fusiliers. A leading light in so many of the Regimental activities both for the wives when the men were deployed and for all ranks when in barracks. We were fortunate to have her as 'one of our own'. Our heartfelt condolences, with deepest sympathy, Bob and Glenys

Re: The Passing of Gaynor Watkins.

I am in a state of grief and shock today with the news of Gaynor’s passing. This really hurts. Gaynor was always friendly and helpful and she could always find humor in any situation. Her warm spirit and sharp wit will be missed.

All who knew her, my family and myself and all those whose lives she touched for so many years, will sorely miss Gaynor. But I know that our grief is nothing compared to that which Rita, Wayne, Garry and Tony will be enduring. They are firmly front and centre of our thoughts and prayers at this unimaginably difficult time.

    No farewell words were spoken,
    No time to say Good-bye,
You were gone before we knew it,
    And only God knows why
