Major TCC (Tim) Dumas
Sadly, I have received yet more distressing news, of the passing of another London Branch RWFCA member, Major Tim Dumas. Message reads:
"On 4th January peacefully in hospital, Tim, in his 92nd year - loving, much loved and great hearted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather - he will be hugely missed by all who new him. Service of Thanksgiving on Fri 18th Jan at Christ Church, Brockham Green, Betchworth, Surrey at 1230hrs. A family request has been made to wear something bright if able. Family flowers only. If wished, donations to Help the Heroes or the Alzheimer's Society, may be forwarded to Sherlock Funeral Service, Trellis House, Dorking, RH4 2ES. Tel: 01306 882266."
Tim was a wartime officer, who served in 4 RWF from 1943-45 during the North-West Europe campaign. He was a very proud and loyal Royal Welchman who kept in touch - he was at the Normandy memorial unveiling at Evrecy in 1998.
A message of condolence has been passed to his wife Ann and family from all members of the London Branch RWFCA.
