Smile Stumpy and the Auld Sapper

Back in 2004, one of the funniest threads I've read appeared on the military site "ARRSE" It was about a RE Search Dog Handler and his sidekick and search dog "Stumpy". Actually its about Stumpy, the handler is just the conduit. Anyway, the thread was legendary on ARRSE, it was well written and side splittingly funny. Readers of the the thread were begging for more. Once you start, you can't stop!!!

The author of the thread "Auld Sapper", just disappeared after moving to Portugal. Then it was announced he died in a car crash, so we all thought that was the end of the tales. 8 years later, like Lazarus, Auld Sapper turns up again. This time he has finally managed to write the book he was always talking about.

Not sure if your interested? Here's the thread that started it all:

    Rab,

We're honoured to have you posting on our little forum. Now cut to the chase, who was the RWF Dog Handler who was keen on the Dog Ambush" concept and generally killing bad guys and is mentioned a few times?
