My last game in the middle !!!

It will be strange tomorrow refereeing my last ever game in the middle after 20 odd years. Going out on a good one RN v RAF in Portsmouth.

Remember doing the course back in 1979 with Bronco and Dereck May (if memory serves me right).

Long memories, one of them was sending off Phil Recce (OC Support at the time) and he was only watching the game.

Have a great retirement from the officials job Dai, and now I'm sure you'll come to understand the frustrations we as supporters of games have with officials.....perhaps a life as an assessor is ahead of you?

72 You will be missed, you have been a great servant of Forces Rugby. I can't believe you're still going. To think I actually played with you some time in the distant past You've had a tremendous run and I hope you are able to enjoy your Rugby from the armchair in the future.

Tight game Navy finally won 13-6, RAF need a kicker!! We beat them 59-0, but no reflection on the game.

I finish with the Army team after the Army v Navy this year.

What will I do, I am still treasurer of both Army and Welsh Societies of Referee's, Chairman and Referee Appointer of the Dragon's Society. Hopefully now take a role with a team as Massage Therapist and Pitchside First Aider.
