    Re: City Status

Interesting Wales now has the 2 smallest cities in the UK St David's being the smallest and St Asaph being the next smallest. Although the Local Government Act in 1974 took away automatic civic city status, St Asaph has always been for nearly 800 years an ecclesiastical city and now has civic city status also along with Perth in Scotland and Chelmsford Essex.....If having city status gets more people to visit then it can only be good for the area and it's economy so good luck to them....all 3400 residents!
