St David's Day Celebrations 2012
The Aberystwyth Branch held their St David's Day celebrations last Saturday 25th February. A big thank you to Major Lee Mulholland OC B Coy 3RW for stepping into the breach and taking on the onerous duty of being the Chief Guest. A big thank you also to the members of the Corps of Drums 3RW who travelled down from Wrexham to be the Leek Party they really made the night. Also a huge thanks must go to 2nd Lt Andrew Richards’s detachment commander 3RW in Aberystwyth for bringing along his detachment and taking full part in the festivities including 2 members who ate the leek.
It was also good to see Lt/Col (Retd) Merfyn Lloyd OBE and his wife attend as a Branch Member.
Finally a thank you to all Branch Members who attended and to the other ex-service associations who showed their true camaraderie by coming along to support our celebrations.
A Ddewi Sant
