While offering no words of poetry to add to this thread, I would like to thank all you guys for the contributions which made very sincere and touching reading.
Living in Brazil, I am absent from proper commemoration of such important events but have drawn a lot from reading what others have offered up here. Thanks.
In memory of those we knew, those whose badge we shared and those whose fought for our families and nation....and those who still do.

There was a great turnout at the cenotaph here in Waterloo, Canada despite the cold and a snow storm. Brrrr!!

I was at Birkenhead cenotaph what a turnout over a thousand lots of young people.

I hear there were over 8000 people at the Menin Gate on Armistice Day.
