Hopefully someone will remember!!


I was at Garndiffaith RFC yesterday and they gave me a Brass shield presented to the Bn for the above dates from the 21st Rotation Royal Thai Company,

They do not jnow how they got it, but I will take it to the Bn when I hopefully visit when they play the Royal Scots in Dec.

Can anyone shed a light to the shield.

This was the Korea Honour Guard. I was there Dai, that's me in the front holding the trophy (89's link). We were given several items from the UN and US forces.We played Garndiffaith RFC, I think in Tidworth, I wonder if they .... borrowed.... the Brass Shield from the Red Dragon, I'm pretty sure it was on the wall by the bar once upon a time.
We played lot's of football in Korea because nobody would play us in rugby. The US Forces thought all rugby players were nuts, playing with no pads etc. Bob Lake was in charge of us hooligans, what a fantatic trip that was. I've sent several photos of us during that trip to the Gallery.
