i have posted on here before telling people about my collection of rugby union programmes , i have just purchased the british army v the royal air force played at st helens swansea march 3rd 1945 in aid of post war swansea rfc (even though the war was stil raging on ) and one of the army players was lieut. w.e. tamplin a back row forward serving with the royal welch fusiliers . long winded explanation just to tell you that i know .

sorry i forgot i also purchased south wales v royal air force october 7th 1944 also played at swansea and lieut tamplin played for the south wales side and in the team line up it says he also plays for pontypool
