Another sad day for the 23rd with the passing of Johnny Mercer. Like Roger, I also remember John in the QMs Dept when I first joined the Bn in Iserlohn Jun 63. He wasn't the screaming and yelling NCO that we had been accustomed to during our training, quite the opposite and easy to get on with which was quite comforting.

John was a true Royal Welchman. Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS OF THE LATE JOHN MERCER

Johns funeral will take place at Salisbury Crematorium on Friday 22nd of July 2011 at 3.15pm.
