    Ron Brooks

    Hello all,
I found out on the A.F.D. I attended in Cardiff on Saturday that Ron Brooks had passed away on Thursday. I sought permission from the Swansea social secretary(Mr Dai Davies) to publish this fact on the forum.Funeral arrangements are not to hand as yet, but will be published as soon as they are known. Ron was a very good friend of mine and he served as a signaller in Malaya with the 2nd Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers. Due to the inordinate number of comrades we have lost this month I am placing as a personal mark of friendship to Ron in a bit of prose. As I have done for our other departed members of the R.W.F.C.A.

If thou art rich, thou'rt poor,
For, like an ass whose back with ingots bow,
Thou bear'st thy heavy riches but a journey
    And death unloads thee.
William Shakespeare.(1604) Measure for Measure act 3.
