Hi, i recently purchased a ferret scout car that was assigned to the "royal welch fusiliers" in 1972. I would like to make this car as original as possible. Does anyone have a photo of the insignia/decal that was on afv to show that it belonged to the r.w.f. Thanks bill

The 1^st Bn Royal Welch Fusiliers in 1972 was stationed in Londonderry Northern Ireland, at that time I was commanding 6 Pl B Coy,the ferret scout car was allocated to the Recce pl, the Pl Comd was frank Doland.

I'm sure a picture must exist. I've looked through regi records and "That Astonishing Infantry" no luck. Perhaps members with Ddraig Goch's from the early 70's could check.

Bill, the Recce Platoon Commander Frank Dolan is a forum member, have a look in the membership list. He could certainly tell you how it was used in those days.
