    Lemgo Revisited

Spider and I recently went back to Lemgo after some 30 years - a thing we had always wanted to do but never got around to it.

The town centre of Lemgo hasn't really changed much, however when we walked up towards where the barracks was - we were surprised, as the camp has all but gone - there are new houses built where the site was. For those who lived in Vogelsang - it looks just the same!

There is still a bar on the site where Walters used to be - I don't know if it was just my imagination, but it looked really small and not as I remembered it.

We were really glad we went back - a bit of nostalgia does you no harm and we had a wonderful time in Lemgo way back when - even though we were there for just under two years.

    Mr Spider

Face book has a profile on Stornaway barracks you may find interesting, some good photo's on there.

Say Hi to the old man and Huey when you next see him.
