    Hunt for war heroes

A HISTORIAN is trying to trace the next of kin of four Dorset airmen killed during the Second World War.
Winston Ramsey, editor-in-chief of military history magazine After The Battle, is working on a book entitled The Battle of France Remembered.

He wants to find the families of four Dorset airmen who died in the hope they can supply pictures of the men for inclusion in the book.

Mr Ramsey is hunting for pictures of the following men, who are all buried in France: Henry Fenton Garnons-Williams, a lieutenant colonel with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers who died on November 10, 1939, aged 43. He was the son of Gerald and Lilian Garnons-Williams and husband of Katherine Garnons-Williams, of Brid-port. He is buried in row K, grave eight in the Douai Communal Cemetery in Nord

Anyone who can help Mr Ramsey can contact him on 01279 418833 or write to: After The Battle, The Mews, Hobbs Cross House, Hobbs Cross, Old Harlow, Essex, CM17 0NN.

There is a picture of Lt Col Garnon - Williams in the book "Images of wales" its a group photo, presumably the museum has it. Surely they would provide it for him?????? wouldn't they!

I have left a message on the newspapers website.
