There are three CWGC cemeteries there, or rather two cemeteries (one mainly RN, one exclusively civvy) and one memorial (mainly RAF/RCAF).
    No Gwynnut/Gwinnut to be found.

Could you give us an idea of the time frame, chow?

    John

I have found a Charles GWINNUTT, Sergeant, 820912, 222 Battery, HAA Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 27th April 1942, aged 27 years. The son of Charles Joseph and Edith Gwinnutt, and husband of Dorothy May Gwinnutt, of Derby

Brilliant, Bob. I searched for 'Malta' and the CWGC site never brought up the Imtarfa Cemetery. We live and learn.

    Re: Reseachers.. Help please

Just to save you some searching, vori:

Imtarfa Military Cemetery is about 1 kilometre to the north east of Mdina. It is 3 kilometres from Mosta and 1 kilometre from Rabat. Cemetery address: Triq Buqana, Imtarfa. GPS Co-ordinates: 35.890972, 14.409556.

Sorry the map is so small, couldn't get it any bigger. The (communal) grave is marked with a red dot..

    Re: Reseachers.. Help please

    thanks for the info john.
been to mdina a couple of times so i have a rough idea of the area.incidently it is spelt mtarfa.but i didnt know there was a war graves cemetry there. there is also a large cemetry in vittoriosa,i think, which i will find.
i have some contacts with the british legion over here so i will see what info they come up with,if any.
as a few of us go out regularly walking i think this seems like a good plan for one of our walks.
    will be in touch soon.
