WARNING ORDER: THE ROYAL WELSH REGIMENTAL ASSOCIATION REUNION.

TO BE HELD AT THE HEREFORD RACECOURSE, HEREFORD ON SATURDAY 04 JUNE 2011.

As rumours are starting to spread I think it is appropriate for me to send out this warning order to give all Branches a heads up on what is being planned if you have not been briefed by your representative on the Executive Committee.

Venue. The venue is confirmed as the Hereford Racecourse, Hereford. This venue is able to cater for up to 300 people for a sit down meal; with room for entertainment should we need it.

Activities. I am planning on holding several kinds of activities during the day:

a. Regimental Association AGM.
b. Lunch
c. Standard bearers training / competition.
d. Drumhead service.
e. Golf and Rugby
f. Dinner.

Final decisions will be made on the above mentioned activities on the Executive Committee meeting in January.

Cost and Accommodation. The cost for the dinner will be £35 per head; this covers the meal and the hire of the venue. I am in the process of looking into the cost of a light lunch. There are reasonably priced Hotels and B&B in the area.

Conclusion. This venue has the makings of a fantastic day with excellent commuting links by road and rail. With an AGM probably to start us off and then some sports to support or play followed by the dinner for which you will be able to bring your partners if you wish, it all should make for a memorable occasion. Once the Executive Meeting has taken place in January I will be in a position to put out a detailed instruction.
