Re: Ken Broadley
Friends,
I have just received the following from Ken Broadley's daughter Jessica, if anyone could attend on behalf of the RWF that would be excellent:
Re: Funeral Arrangements of Ken Broadley
Hello Paul,
The funeral will be taking place next Monday (August 23rd) at 12, on the garveyard: Landschaftsfriedhof Gatow, Maximilian-Kolbe-Straße 6 in 14089 Berlin-Gatow. My Dad wouldn't have wanted anything big, so we are having a small memorial service, just the way he would have wanted it. But anyone who would like to come to the funeral, can. I think my Dad would have liked that.
Thanks
Jessica

Thanks for being the RWF presence at Ken's funeral. Can you let Walli and the family know that there have been 50+ expressions of condolence either on this forum or emailed to me to date.

Re: Ken Broadley
A very sad day indeed my condolances go out to Ken's family at this very sad time, i knew ken from my days in the Drums, he was a Corporal when I first met him and never a senior rank that you could say anything negative about.Rest in peace mate, yet another to add to the ever growing band of Brothers in the sky..

Re: Ken Broadley
Spider and I were really saddened to hear that Ken had passed away so suddenly. We saw him when we were in Berlin some 10 years ago or more and had a good few drinks in Spandau with him!
Please pass on our sincere condolences to Walli, Jason and Jessica at this difficult time.

Re: Ken Broadley
Oh Dear,
The sad demise of another Royal Welchman that I served with.
Ken & Walli were our neighbours in Tidworth, Woodcock Close (Behind the Drummer Pub). In fact, they lived immediately next door to Dai 70 and Gwen - we all used to baby sit for each other.
We parted company when the Bn moved to Lemgo in Dec 77 and I was posted to SWW Netheravon but did meet briefly at Tern Hill whilst I was stationed in the West Midlands in the mid 80's.
A lovely couple who made the transition from LI to RWF (Band) with no problem at all and settled into Bn life with ease.
Ken couldn't have been that old, so sad that he has been taken so soon!
Deepest condolences to Walli and her family from my wife Vern (neighbour friend), myself and all members of the London Branch RWFCA.
Sympathy cards and messages have also been forwarded to the family.
