Re: Steve Williams 85 - 1st Bn
Good News: Spoke to Steve today.
The surgeon has removed his leg below the knee, Steve is very positive, bearing in mind that initially the op was to have been above the knee. He is now raring to get into physio and get control of his life again. He mentioned that Sarah and the family are being very well supported by the regiment.
He has also had a visit from Karl Stowell, and I know that other members of the regiment are visiting this week.
If you require details of Steves ward, just drop me a private message.

Please also pass on our good wishes to Steve and his family. I remember him when he served with Clive in the MI Room. A Battalion boxer if I remember right. Fabulous guy.
Get well soon.

Re: Steve Williams 85 - 1st Bn
Steve has come home to Wrexham this weekend for a short break from hospital.(11/11/06)
I popped round to see him, and I'm pleased to say he is in good spirits. His surgery is healing well, and at this stage there is no sign of the infection that has blighted his life these last few years.
He is hoping to possibly get discharged from hospital next week, he feels the longer he stays in the hospital, the more likely he will pick up other bugs and infections......How sad is that...but very true.
Steve would like to thank all the Forum members who have posted sent him cards and Get Well messages. He is also appreciative of the Serving and Retired Officers who live and work in the London area, who have taken time to visit him. Well done Gentlemen, and thankyou.
