    Royal Welch Knights

I have been asked by Deane Freeman to publish this on Site.

Royal Welch Knights Veterans 7s is an Invitational Social Rugby 7s Side representing ex and serving sldiers of the Royal Welsh and its antercedent Regiments.

It's not an RWF, RRW, SWB, WELCH or Monmouthshire Regiment Side but a Social Team of Veterans of all Regiments.

The Aim of the side is to play social Rugby at Veterans Tournaments throughout the UK and Abroad when established with a Large Player Base of Players when available from Veterans and those serving.

The Side will hopefully bring all Veterans and Serving together to play some Social, not serious (until kick off anyway) Rugby and raise Funds for chosen Charities at each event i.e.

    Soldiers Welfare Fund
    Help for Heroes
    Golden Grove Appeal
    Museum of Welsh Soldier

You don't have to be Fit, Fast or a Rugby Expert to Play, Just Willing to be available when you can make it to represent the Veterans of "Our Regiment - The Royal Welsh" and be prepared to carry a bucket at Tournaments to raise some pennies for the Chosen Charities-even if you past the running around bit you are still welcome as part of the Club in various guises - Spongge Boy, Bobby Buscher Water Boy, Bucket Counter, Coaching, Manager etc.

The Colours of the SQUAD will cover all the antecedent Regiments and the Club Badge will be a Regimentally Coloured Knight on Horseback.

If you are prepared to Support this then it can be taken forward and Established - For it to go Forward we need names before entering Events.

POSITIVE REPLIES WELCOME FORM VETERANS AND SERVING MEMBERS.

    Re: Royal Welch Knights

Brigadier Aitken is President of this worthy cause and Deane has had quite a few names already allbeit from the other Site and 2 Royal Welsh mainly. Pity no one is interested off here as it's a worthy cause and it'll be a Good Laugh.
