    Major General PR Leuchars

    I have just learned that former Colonel of the Regiment Maj Gen PR Leuchars has died, without to much detail at this time except it was some time yesterday 17 July2009 there will be a private family cremation with a memorial service to be held in September. further details will follow when known.

    Condolences to all his family. He was Colonel of the Regiment for much of my time in the Battalion. A real Gent.

    Although the General was a Welsh Guardsman, he was a very interested in the Royal Welch, even before he became Col of Regt.

    Hello All,
    As some of the e mails state General Leuchars was a gentleman. He carried out the duties of the Colonel Of the Regiment with great panache and was a great follower of all things Royal Welch. he will be missed. Bridgend & District branch offer their condolence to all his family and friends.

    Shrewsbury and District Branch RWFCA sends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of General Leuchars on this sad occasion.
    General Leuchars was a nice gentleman he will be sadly missed. RIP
