    Rob, medal spotter reporting

This is not a medal that turns up everyday. I am away from my books at the moment (Wiltshire for a Christening) but will be home tonight to check recent prices for you. Do you know who the recipient is?

A word of warning though. These medals, (as with just about any medal of value), have been heavily faked. So get some good clear pictures to post here before parting with any hard earned cash.

    Neal.

Medal is worth up to £250 (no more). 2490 were issued. Not a military medal as such but one issued to foreign civilians. That’s why its not seen very often by military medal collectors.

    Rob

Recent hammer prices for unattributed medals has been around the £180 mark. So about £225 all in.

However, as mentioned, if you can put a name to the medal it could make a lot of difference. Best I have found so far is £2500 for one with M.I.9 & SOE activities.
