    Calling a Welsh choir member

I was hoping someone on here would be able to help me out. A friend of ours has a Welsh mother who moved over here from "the Valleys" in the 50's. Out of the blue last month she phones and asks if I can help her get some Welsh songs for her choir to sing.
She's in her late 70's and sings with an international choir. They attempt at least once,to sing something in the language of each of their members.
Asking me...with the musical knowledge of a bunged up bassoon - was a bit of a gamble, I even have flat feet - but I've tried to help her. My Mam found a hymn and music book which my bro shold have brought over on his last visit - he forgot and it'll cost a small fortune to mail over, so the old lady is without a note to carry. I do recall some of our members mentioning they sang in a WMC and was wondering if anyone had any digital sheet music they wouldn't mind sending me for Mrs. Prinsen? I can print it out ..efo dim problem. She's looking for things like Sospan Fach - Myfanwy - Lawr a Lan y Mor etc.

I'd be very grateful for some help.

    Cheers and a sws

    Shar XX

I'm a member of the Brighton Welsh Male Choir. (Nothing like as good as a 'real' WMVC mind!) - if you find an online source of WMVC music please post a link!

I could scan and email a few pieces if you can't find anything.
Working for yourself is great, not only can you work half days, you can choose which 12 hours!

Are you suggesting English choirs are not as good as Welsh choirs John?

Not at all, just that we are a Welsh Male Voice choir, and could not hold a candle to, for example, this lot .....

Think you may have to press the play button in that link - it's not a Welsh song but it's a great song)

    Hi Sharron.
I sing in a male voice choir and would be delighted to send you some welsh music. The problem being that all our music is for male voice ie tenor 2nd tenor barritone and bass it may clash with the female range. I'm not to good at this computer lark so sending music may be a problem, but I could send you my adress should you wish. Regards

    Allan (mogs22)
