Re: Dick Hughes 90
As Frank says, Dick had a smiley face. He was a nice gent and condolances to his family.
Was he RSWO at one point in his career?

I was shocked to read of Dick's passing as Glyn and others have said he was a true gent and a Royal Welchman through and through.
The Aberystwyth Branch RWFCA wishes to pass on to his family and friends their sincere condolences.

Re: Dick Hughes 90
Hello all,
All at Bridgend were sorry to hear of the death of Hughes 90. Our sympathy goes out to all his friends and family.
Query is this the same Dick Hughes who lived in Llanrwyst. If so he served as P.S.I in Wrexham in 1952 53. The Hughes I am asking about was also known as "Bodger" there is a photo on the forum with Bodger on it taken in Wrexham .We were clowning around in the photo and present were "Gash " Hughes. " Bodger" Hughes, Roy Hack, L/Cpl Dilwyn Morse, and "Don Donovan on it
Regards to all RBD Bridgend Branch.

Re: Dick Hughes 90
A very sad loss in deed. Yes, Dick was RSWO in Honk Kong and a good one at that.
Good memories of you, sergeant major Hughes...

Re: Dick Hughes 90
Dear Richard,
The Dick Hughes 90, recently past away is not the Bodger Hughes that you remember at the Depot Wrexham in 1953. I had the pleasure of knowing and serving with those highly gifted Royal Welchmen. Bodger Hughes was my Pl Sgt at the Depot “Brecon Barracks” the Pl was the first gathering of Welsh Brigade Recruits in Oct 1959.(Welsh Bde Depot was not up and running at this time, although preparation was in an advance stage.) Bodger rejoined the 1st Bn RWF at Carter Barracks Bulford 1962 and ended his service as a very successful Regimental Recruiter in North Wales. On leaving the Army he gained employment with the Forestry Commission. Regrettably Bodger Hughes has past away and is at rest in Llanrwyst Town Cemetery.
Regards
Glyn
