What a Weekend - Stormy or What!
Well just got back from a weekend Skiing in the Pyrenees Mountains arrived there Friday just 6 hrs prior to the storm from Hell 120 MPH winds no Electricity all routes in and out blocked, Attending Emergency Control Briefings daily Food shortage as shop was near to sold out water for 48 hrs only and no Drina but plenty of Snow?
God just Like Gorazde all over again lol
But it was a interesting weekend never heard winds like that ever, Kids thought it was brill they could Fly! and the Schools are closed till Tuesday :)
It was funny at the briefings given in French & Spanish god the Spanish Flap you would think it was Armageddon there was wood to cook with and you have got blankets and stuff, We had a great night Candle lit dinner cooked on the fire pans a bit black and smoke tainted but top notch time had!
But the country on a whole suffered quite badly as they lost over 10,000 trees in Lalande and the power is still off to 90% homes there, There is a bit of flooding and many rail route's are still closed but the roads where open by Sunday We are Ok here but I lost my fence and a huge tree fell and luckily missed the house.
Well just though I would post this hope I never bored you too much, I am off to collect my fence and cut the mother of all trees up its a biggy a trunk of 3 ft across so could be gone a while!
