    DP

I am not sure what the qualifying criteria was for civilians, but I will try and dig something out.

The 'lack' of Silver Jubilee Medals issued (approx 30,000 opposed to approx 320,000 Golden Jubilee Medals) I think can be better understood here, based on papers recently released to the National Archives :

Sorry Richard the old corps seem to of hijacked this thread for a bit. For some reason I thought George Bostock had one or was it he thought he should of had one as he was a figer head of the regiement.

Having had a rethink, (I was RSM with the 3rd Bn 1977-1980) the following could be the distribution .
Col A Graesser Hon Col 3rd Bn RWF.
Maj J Egan OC D Coy 3rd Bn RWF
WO 2 G Evans CSC D Coy 3rd Bn RWF

Maj Gen P R Leuchars Hon Col 1st BN RWF

Col Philip Lloyd HQ Wales TA Col North Wales.

    Richard,

Whilst waiting for my Mrs to finnish her Christmas shopping yesterday someone else popped into my mind. It was Les Bellamy. I think he was a Sgt or CSgt when he got the medal. Is he on the list?

    Not on my list Nasher

If anyone is still in touch with Les it would be good to know a) did he get one and b) if yes, with the RWF or another unit \ reason.

    Anymore names ?

We could start another thread on MBEs !

I don't have Les on my list. That said it is very specific, as I can only identify Military division ones, and obviously they had to be RWF to appear on my radar.

If Les did get an MBE I would very much like to know, especially if he was still serving with the RWF at the time of the award.
