"SCOUSE, I COULD HAVE PLAYED FOR THE BATTALION, BUT MY SOLDIERING GOT IN THE WAY!!"

    Re: Rugby Match

Cheers Barry, and well done on spotting my 'deliberate' spelling error!! (not enough Blog writing recently I think!!)

Anyway, I spoke with my dear friend Sid Burns this afternoon regarding the Rugby match with Flint. Incidently, Sid was working that night, a mere hour after the match would have finished. Presuming he would have attended the game prior to work, I asked how the match went and who was there?

Sid's reply: "SCOUSE, IM NOT GONNA SPEND A MINUTE MORE OF MY LIFE IN FLINT THAN I HAVE TO!!"

To which I can only read between the lines and translate as meaning...

"SCOUSE, IF I AIN'T GOING ON THE BEER AFTER THE MATCH AND HAVING CHEAP BEER OFF THE BATTALION, THEN IM NOT INTERESTED IN THEM. OH, AND JOHNNY HOOD LIVES IN A RIGHT SH**-HOLE OF A TOWN!!"

Perhaps I have been slightly harsh, and totally misintepreted what Sid actually meant? Or am I?

    Re: Rugby Match

well fellas what can i say by all acounts a very slow game with the final score being Royal welsh 17 Flint 3. the scorers being
    Fus Roligabra
    Fus Barry
Fus Bishop and a conversion by Fus Yendle what i have been told a very slow game dominated by the Royal welsh in the scrums and line outs with WO1 Oggie Hewit staring for flint not making one throw down the centre of the line out. But by all acounts made it up in the clubhouse by winning the raffle and buying members of my platoon copiouse amounts of vodka shots resulting in him sleeping in this morning (AGAI 67 action to follow for him) anyhow a good support from members of the Battalion and comrades and you never now we could get a better support than the Cardiff Blues next fixture and timing to follow

ps if my spelling is bad it is 02.30 hrs and the RSM has just let me leave MESS
