Head stone for a ww1 soldier 91 years on
This is my first posting and I hope I have done this right
On Saturday 18 October at Prestatyn Parish Church, High Street Prestatyn at 11:00am there is a Memorial Service being held for Lieutenant Quartermaster Herbert John Taylor (19th Royal Welch Fusileers) a Great War Soldier who died with full Military Honours but due to red tape he was denied a headstone.
He was asked to resign due to ill health in 1916, and unfortunately died five weeks later in 1917.
Thank you

Re: Head stone for a ww1 soldier 91 years on
first read this about a week or two ago and then asked Bn HQ if i could attend as he originally hailed from Cardiff as do i and my brother and now have most of our family links in and around Prestatyn we have both been given permission to attend in service dress and think this will be a good chance to show our respects in an area which we lived and indeed most of our families live and maybe catch up with some old faces well done Mac for highlighting this on the Forum as it slipped my mind to place on here
