Hi all
An update on my Bro, he's out of bed and having a little walk. Should be in hospital for about 5 days, though will have to go back soon to have the other one done! Must be a BOGOF offer!!

I had the pleasure of visiting John in Powys Ward" PM Today Fri 3rd; I am pleased to report that he is good humour and making a steady recovery. John would like to thank his entire Regimental friends, for kind thoughts and good wishes.

Thank you all for your GOOD whishes" came out to day 06/10/08 at 1630hrs, doing well walking with "sticks" but walking so that is good. Hip replament doing well, now left leg 12mm shorter then the right, have to go back next year to replace the left hip to get them both the same.

Hello John,
Sorry to hear that you were held up in hospital and I am glad to hear that you are now on the mend, make sure you keep those big boots of the ground for a couple of weeks. Hey one to laugh at, I can still remember the time in the Falkland’s when the out board motor on the assault boat packed in and we were quickly drifting towards a minefield. I’m sure you won’t want to remember, when we jumped overboard to try and steer the craft away from the shoreline and Roy Price 18 pulling you back on board after you disappeared under the waves.
Oh what fond memories, I think we were more worried at the time about what was swimming in the waters around us, than entering the minefield
