Sam Moon
I remember Sam Moon taking us on the Apc course in Lemgo, I wonder what ever happened to him.

Ah - Sam Moon, what a guy - pronounced his 'R's funny - came from the throat - sort of ghhhh - I think it's a Rhyl (Ghhhil) thing.
When I was Delta's sigs rep, a certain officer and I formed a Sam Moon appreciation society - we had a sort of 'competition' to see who could make the most original sentence with the most 'R's in. Pronounced a-la Sam of course.
I think I took it when I greeted said certain officer - at the Newry PVCP with "Hello sir - so - how is the struggle against terrorism in the rural role going?"

Yes your right Moon was from Rhyl, I remember we gave him a lift to Denbigh once, and he caught the Bus from there to Rhyl. Also in our Platoon at that time were the following, all of whom went to 1 RWF:-
Baines, Burgess, Hughes 34, Zollman, Sweeney, Parsons, Lewis 00, Danny Meliah, Moon and 1 other who's name escapes me. All great lads at the time.

Yes thats right Sam Moon " FSP Arms Storeman" lived in Rhyl although I think he originated from Boddlewydyn "spelling in doubt" The R problem was particular to Sam not a Rhyl thing Im sure!
Erica what a girl drunk and played darts as good as any man, Sam had his work cut out there, I saw them both in Rhyl in 1994 ish in the RAFA Club seemed to be as sound as ever then, Sam not a flyer but a true Star!

If I remember correctly, that's if I'm not having a Senior moment, Sam was in the Anti-tanks when I was there in Tidworth. Really nice sort of chap, would always have time for you. I wish him all the best.
