Well Done RJM (The Stork), Tim will be so proud, as for me my old PC in the Sigs and in NI in Fort George in 86 "Another Guy I trained" with the help of Beano & Hub! Great too see great blokes doing so well !!!

Just to change the thread I posted earlier Barry 69 was right, there see when i'm wrong i'm not afraid to correct the wrong. (Neck winding in)

But just to think he's took so much on board when serving with Deltas, Signals and DRUMS Plt now look where he's climbed to.

PS Mr Porter (SIR) if you get the chance to read this thread i'm still waiting for my copies of the Derry wall and others taken on that tour of 86.

any chance I can have the copies after all this time.

Riki Boy how dare you he arrived in to the Sig's very young and a little wet but soon picked things up it was much later that he came out to Ireland with us a Top bloke he was too! and as Paul indicated he was in Deltas First arrived in 81 I think at North Howard St , I may be wrong but I think thats right.

Map reading I would P...s you there lol, who was top dog on the Section Cdm Cadre "Night Navex" Warminster I rest my case !!! Wind your Neck in or I will tell them about your C Sharpe and B flat discussion you and Lenny had on the Wall in Derry say no more lol

Barry I would not know a b Sharp from a c sharp mate, so i dont think it was me you see that had that discussion with Lenny Mayor, I was a Side Drummer and we did not have to worry about sharps and flats mate. The only flats i was more concerned with was the ones we had to look at from the Derry wall.

No to be honest mate that was my first tour i think i'd not long turned 20, and i think alot of us young drummers grew up. If i remember correctly Lenny was your 2ic and I Paul Hs. remember those long nights on QRF going out in the landrovers with magmounts in ready to take over from the sneaky beakies if something went wrong.

I cant remember who told me that when we went in to the bogside to take plenty of sweets with me, and keep the kids right by me.

I also remember that we all had some place in Derry we did not feel comfortable patrolling in, Leds used to be going into the gobnascale, mine was sniper ally in the creggan, Paul nash and yourself was the bogside. Some did not like patrolling Shantellow and so forth.

But all in all we all came home safe, with a couple of scares. Remember Led and i doing top cover on our way up the creggan when two shots hit the side of the landrover about 2 inches from Led and I. Your vehicle had just gone through the lights and we stopped on green, why we all asked ourselves later because we always went through them. Plus on night patrols with Pritchards Sling shot, a few windows used to go through with that thing.......

They were good old days........Hope to see you at one of our drums reunions mate..
