I see that the Regiment is to/has been given a new cap badge, is it being worn yet/ when does it come into effect?

Sure,
its a Rupert one mind, but the OR`s one is made of white metal, I do however believe that there is also a Bronze issue again for the grown ups.

I`m supposed to be getting my kit tomorrow (yeh,yeh I`m in the TA), will let you know which bagde I get issued with.....(if your remotely interested):winker:

You won't get the new badge yet, its due out shortly. Are you being posted to either the 1st or 2nd Bn or are you staying with the 3rd.

I`ve had a look on Ebay, and there is no shortage of the new badges on there, but there not cheap mind!!!

Guys, stay away from the e-bay stuff as it is not official issue ... it can't be as the new badge has not been commissioned by the clothing project team at the MoD. The design is complete and the e-bay items are a good attempt (I've seen it in the flesh) but the real one will be different. You won't be able to wear a new one until all personnel are able to be issued - so don't buy anything - you'll get the real thing free soon enough.

Don't be so quick to knock being in the TA the ARABs will do that soon enough. :winker:It takes commitment to do two jobs and give up weekends and holidays.
