How very dare YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I refer members to a previous message thread:
On our first run, I can remember driving flat out in the tank, absolutely crapping myself, what made me even more scared was that Dutch climbed down from the tuirret, wrapped his arms around me and squeezed his eyes shut, the first round completely destroyed the tank barrel, and all the cordite and flame came in through the periscope holes.......Oh how I laughed

Re: APC Plt Warminster
in various parts of south wales (newport being one) wrapping your arms around someone is considered a sign of friendship and a comfort for said person in times of extreme terror , yours not mine . ok both i admit but just like sex i got better as time went on and only cried for the first six rounds fired ....how brave was that pooley

Re: APC Plt Warminster
There,s got a be a photo somewhere of Johnnie Hood in his storemans brown coat. I remember in the garages when he went into the cage for some stores, certain drivers were heard to shout, NORMAN THE STOREMAN! ( whilst hiding behind a 432) . I can name a few names on this site who were guilty, but none cowrered as much as our Al.
