North East Wales Veterans Day
Hi all,
Come across this link on a biker site, just a point, why is their no representation made by the Royal Welsh at this event. If you visit the link, every man and his dog is attending except us. If we are being represented, it should be advertised.

Thanks

Re: North East Wales Veterans Day
I will hazard a guess. The Welsh Guards have sown up the recruiting angle. It appears they seem to be the dominant military unit at the event.
Our researchers provide their time and considerable expertise for free. However if you want to say thank-you, a donation to the up-keep of the forum would be greatly appreciated. Click here to make a donation

Re: North East Wales Veterans Day
Do we actually have anyone in Cardiff who's job is to monitor this sort of event. If the R.Marines, Guards, Legion and many other smaller organisations know about it, then why do'nt we?
It's not too late. There is an enquiry form on the link, so perhaps someone could manage to make an effort to participate. Or have we just resigned ourselves to let the Guards take over N.Wales

Very strange, it may be that we are not close enough to Cardiff.

I was trying to show a bit of restraint, but you actually hit the nail on the head

Hi Dai
Just took a look at the website to your link, it may be that no one in the Bn’s recruiting team and AYT were aware of the event, or they were otherwise engaged, as anyone wishing to participate needed to request permission to attend.
All the best
