Thomas Henry Moody
I am interested to make contact with anyone who may have served with or otherwise have information concerning my uncle Thomas Henry Moody (known as Tony). He died aged 18 in the action to liberate s'Hertsogenbosch in October 1944 and is buried in Uden War Graves Cemetry.

Re: Thomas Henry Moody
Hi Robin, welcome to the Forum
If your uncle is Thomas Henry Gange Moody. He was a member of 1/5th Welch Regiment. This site deals specifically with the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
Both regiments fought at Den Bosh, so it is easy to confuse them. Have you applied for his service record yet?

Re: Thomas Henry Moody
Many thanks for the reply. Yes, my uncle was Tomas Henry Gange Moody....so it looks like I have got the wrong regiment. As yet I have not applied for his service record but I will now do that. By chance, do you know whether the 1/5 Welch Regiment have a similar Forum to the Royal Welch Fusiliers? Thanks again
Robin

I don't think it has one of its own; however, they do share a forum under the Royal Welsh Veterans, which can be found here
