RWF postings
I have been asked to try and find out whether the RWF either as a battalion or a company detatchment ever served in Minden Germany and if so which camp ? Minden garrison has been closed 15 years now and I cant find any info here. Would appreciate an help . Thanks SR17

Re: RWF postings
The Battalion definitely were in Minden - St George's Barracks if memory serves me correctly. I joined them there as a young lad in Sep/Oct 1966 The main body was in Cyprus on a UN Tour at that particular time. We returned to Honiton in 1967
St.Georges Barracks, Minden BFPO 29 (Closed 24.09.1993)

Re: RWF postings
Thanks again ref ST. Georges barracks. The only buildings recognisable to some still there are t.he big hanger and the signals mast some of the old nissan huts still stand just remodernized The local council use a large part of the area as thier works depot. I need the info for a thread I am formulating with regards the 250th Anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Minden in 2009.
