You will have noticed that the 'Latest Threads' have been removed from the Right-hand sidebar. They have been removed as it allowed anyone who might come across this site view every thread and every post without having to log in

How can I see the latest posts?

There are two ways to quickly view recently created or updated threads.

If you are logged in, the 'New Posts' link, Top Menu Bar, will give you a listing of all threads that have been created or updated since your last visit.

We have also set up the forums so that each thread you read is marked in the database. What this means is that new threads (or threads with new posts) will not be marked as read until you have actually read them.

There is a built-in time limit to this, however, that will automatically mark all threads as 'read' after a set number of days, whether you really have read them or not. The default setting is 10 days.

You can also look for the following icon, which will denote that a new thread or post has been made in that particular forum

I find it easy to just click "mark forums read" before I log out, then when I log on again any new posts are highlighted.
