Barry
You got that wrong, the jail was on the end of Delta Coy block in Lemgo which was quite handy considering it was usually full of D Coy lads come Monday morning.....lol

Re: Time In One Company
Well Paul that is not total true mate, As when we arrived in Lemgo before the revamp us HQ Company bods got housed there, and stayed in there for a while, then Block two was completed and we moved in there it was not till later that Deltas came back from Detmold and moved into a brand new refitted Block One!
So Yes and No mate
Cheers
Barry (Lemgo historian)
PS and I think some of Detas stayed in Lemgo and shared block two with us?

Re: Time In One Company
I spent a freezing month in that block in late 78. Betty Burns used to tell us stories about the ghosts of SS Officers. When he had been on the beer, he would go to the top floor and roll cannonballs along the tiled floors of the entire length of the block.
You would wake up thinking your world was collapsing in on you

Re: Time In One Company
Hi Richie
Some memories of the Lemgo tour with Delta’s remember the “Adventure so called training” In the Mosel Valley, or was it a wine tasting ex? do you remember when Brian Dando was our boss and he decided that he would go on the town with you and me has we were the sensible ones, and the Yanks on the way back to the camp site and his caravan, thinking back we put up a good fight. I can still recall when we were trying to put Brian’s arm back in its socket you hold it and I’ll pull or was it push, something like that, he did scream a bit
Hope you’re keeping well
All the best

Re: Time In One Company
Fair enough Barry but I went straight to the "Rat Hole" when I first joined the Bn in 1979, I think the block was under refubishment by then

Re: Time In One Company
Fusilier to Pl Sgt 10 Plt D Coy 1988 to 2000( 1995 attached to A Coy in Gorazda) 2001 B Coy 6 plt for 6 mths ( but that a another story) Moved to Fsp Coy, then posted to 37 CTT on return to Bn, HQ Coy was split in to C/ECH Coys end up in the Trg Wing under C Coy. Moved then to the Welfare office which was then under Ech Coy. At the End of Aldershot HQ Coy was reformed where i am to this day. So i think i can say yes i have served with all companys in one form or another.
