Can anyone beat this, Joined 11pl DELTA's Nov/Dec 1975 remained with 11pl until 1985 moved to 12pl for Falklands tour, on promotion to Sgt in 85 moved back to 11pl remained with 11pl until posting to Jnr Ldr's Shorncliffe in 87 , posted back to Bn Sept 89...11pl DELTA's until promotion to C/sgt in 91 posted to A Coy & HQ coy's before leaving the Bn on posting in 94. approx 14 yrs with one Coy.. Now you see why I have slight bias to all things DELTA's !! Not many DELTA's on the Forum though !!

beat it in what way ritch, years spent? not sure if i can beat u years spent but i did do every rank in Alphas from Fus to Coy Sergeant Major, and thats why im Alphas through and through, o and just a few skaife cup winners medals there to.

Richie, what about time in a dept, I spent 15 years in the QM's Dept before being posted to 2nd Bn, where i am posted to their QM's Dept as their Clothing Sgt.

Rich, Joined Deltas in 84 stayed with them in Ternhill, Balykinller and Berlin, did 2 years AYT and then back to Deltas in Brawdy and Chepstow. After Chepstow I was in the ACIO, not as long as you but still a true Delta.

Has anyone done all the companys including C Coy? I managed all but B Coy and on posting was with B Coy twice 6pl 1 Staffs and 1 D & D, but never quite made the Bn tour of Coys!

Same here Barry, A,C,D & HQ Coys. No doubt the ex B Coy lads will say we weren`t good enough lol.

I joined 12 plt DELTAS in 1979 in Lemgo remained with them until I joined HQ Coy, RP Staff in 1982. Then went back to 11 plt DELTA Coy in 1983 where I stayed until my accident. Obviously DELTAS has a place in my heart.

Thats good going Sox I wish I'd have made it back into DELTA's before I left ,beat was just a term I used I was just curious as to wether anyone else had a similar link to one Coy or in Bri's case dept. Bri you must have been an asset to any QM, ROMS/TQMS who took on that role, like at Coy level a good storeman is an asset to the CQMS, like wise in the QMs dept individuals like you & Selwyn etc are a must.

Ritch , bri braze would be an asset to any QM,s Dept , the lads who stay in the Depts for years and years dont seem to get the respect they deserve, as a lot of people dont realise the job they do behind closed doors, opened my eyes when i was a cqms, and even more so when i did RQ

Well i done a bit of time in the MT, 1981 to 1997 which i left as MT SNCO, then a trip with AL Ankers to the QM's as CSGT until 2000, RQMS in Wainwright Canada until end 2001 where i returned as MTWO in the Bn and finished as the RQMS before leaving in 2002. Well every rank in the MT with exception of CSGT so this must be a good innings for HQ COY.
