Is there any reason for the high scores being reset?
I don't mind the current scores being reset, but can the all time high scores be returned please?
Reduce the score each month by 10%

Currently, ibProArcade best Score of all Time is reduced by 10% on the first of every month to keep the Arcade competitive. This can be changed to whatever is required or done away with completely.Originally Posted by Chrish

I believe the highest score of all time ought to remain valid until it is beaten by somebody else - or the same player again. I thought that was how it was with the previous arcade provider?
There is nothing wrong with zeroing out the current best score on a monthly basis, as you say, to instil some interest and improve competitiveness (I hope that is not too politically incorrect for any Nu-Labour officianados who might be watching).

How can it be the " best score of all time " if it is reduced every month? The all time high score is exactly what it says, "ALL TIME HIGH ". Perhaps it should be called score of the month.
I think that reducing the score to improve competition will have a counter productive effect.
By the way the scores were reduced by 75%.
I disagree completely. Every time one of my scores is reduced, I get straight back at it to achieve it again. That surely is the challenge, especially if one has "fluked" a score or two. The Heavyweight Champion of the World has to defend his crown in the ring even if he won his previous fight in the first 20 seconds of the first round. Your only as good as your next attempt.

As we all know some scores are achieved by default ( ie. a gremlin helps helps you out in the scoring department !!!! ) and not by your skill level, if you did get a high score of all time by this means it would be unfair to keep it indefinitely.
Hi Guvs. Here is a list of the ones I have found to be faulty.
The problem with the first 4 came about because of reducing the high scores each month. These 4 games require a low number finish but because the scoreboard has been changed they now require a high number finish.
501 darts
100 m Running
3D Golf Championship
Golf Master 3D
Quick Park : Often if you land on the parking space during the last second of your time, the scrore goes nuts and you can submit as high a score as you wish. Seems to happen mostly on Sundays for some reason.
Word Craze will only let you score on the first level most of the time.
City Driver has graphics problems but does not seem to affect the score.
Battlefield Vietnam has a problem where you can continue scoring after the time runs out.
Mr Flacits Word Search is full of problems and can mess up your display settings.
Patience Delux : You can slide 4 extra cards at the end of each row after the last column.
I think that one may have been built into the program.
Desk Top fishing constantly crashes during game play on my pc, but that could be a problem at my end.
Tennis Challenge is too easy if you know how to change your computer settings, which is why I have the high score on it.
To be fair about the gremlins etc, I think they are there for everyone.
Most of the Games can be made much easier by changing a few settings in the control panel of your pc for example it's no use setting your mouse speed to slow when playing Blox Delux or Dead Eye Rookie. If you have a powerful computer, you won't even see the ball when playing Garage Door Tennis.
Cryptogram: once you have solved the problem you can simply seach for the same problem again, then It's just a case of the fastest typist gets the high score.
I have mentioned some of these games on earlier posts.
Surely the challenge is to beat the persons genuine high score and not feel chuffed to bits because you beat x % of it.
I agree with the heavyweight champion defending his crown, but someone has to take it off him first. He should not lose his title without even stepping into the ring.
If the person who has the high score got it by fluke that is fine by me. Flukes are there for us all. If someone can not achieve a high score they need to try harder and not rely on the score being reduced. I can't beat the high score on Dragonfist. I don't want to have the score reduced to give me a chance. I will just keep trying until I improve.
If a game is not working properly or you experience problems whilst playing the game, please let me know and I will investigate it further and, if necessary, remove it from the Arcade.

I think you should reduce the ASTEROIDS score by 50% every week.
Ha Ha just kidding but I wanted to get a dig in at Keith who is the grand champion.
