Wrexham Xmas Night Out - 2007

Every now and then a group of us(serving and ex) meet up in the Nags Head in Wrexham for a few beers and a laugh, normally about once a month on a Friday. In early October we decided to plan something for Xmas, so Angie Taylor organised a get together in the Nags Head last night(Sat 15th). Limited numbers due to the venue, about 25 of us turned up, a mixed bag, which included a couple of 1st Bn boys with partners, and then the old and not so bold. We sat down for a very informal xmas meal, with plenty of banter, and alcohol.

    Highlights.

The continuing "One Liners" between Scouse and Larry's younger brother. Very very entertaining.

Den Morris 18's, tribute to Strictly Come Dancing. He looked like he was dressed to dance the Pasa Doble.....check the pictures.

    Bean 10.............? :winker:

    Mac Mcarton's Berlin Quiz..........Brilliant.

Paul Gough's latest reincarnation as a 10yr old boy!!! Again, check the pictures.

Larry's brother forking out £75 on wine to celebrate his substantive promotion this week........Very painful for him.

Scouse re-telling the Den Braham Mountain Bike story...from Berlin. Again, very funny, I won't repeat it here, as it deserves its own thread!!!

    .................................................. .................................................. ................................
We had a really great night, and again demonstrates the power of the forum to keep people in touch. A big thank you to Angie and Bri for the effort in putting it together. It was such a great night, We might do something similar in a couple of months time, and get a few more onboard.

    Hi Al

Well looks like a good night had, and like u said I bet the banter was good , gutted wasn't there . Are there any more Pics to go on the site, sure there are some funny 1's to be seen .

I will refrain from any funny coments, as there are people well more equiped with banter, and I expect Pauls tank top, Scouse an Bears outsize shirts and quotes of a birthing pool, and police fitness test may be quoted, not 4 gettin Lou's hair do lol .

Right take care an a merry Xmas 2 u all.

PS Sorry 4 wakin u this mornin Bri, an I hope Scouse didn't p~~~ the girls bed lol .

Well spotted Barry, as we all know Sid's(younger brother of Larry) youthful looks are a combination of smoke, mirrors and Just For Men(Last night, Winter Sunset). Whilst Heidi is forever 30.

Al great pics, I can vouch that Sid and Heidi were frequent members of the Rintel night spots, Pussycat,s included. Just ask them about the night i was arrested when taking them home to Minden in Wally's (B Coy) car. I wont tell you for what, maybe Sid could remember. This was not the last time either, it always happend after borrowing other people hot cars.

brilliant night last night pitty it had to end as Pauls hair dye was running down his face and his tank top was shrinking as the night went on. Thanks to Angie, Bri and scouse for a great night and an even better Sunday as the real reds are marching on.:

I used to live within staggering distance of that pub - but I'd never finish a pub crawl there because it meant staggering up a (Madeira) hill.

Hang a left out of that pub - up Madeira hill - school on right (St Giles) - that's where I went to school - carry on - hang a right on to Poplar Road, 1st Left - Fairfield st - that's where I lived 'til i joined up at 15.

How the ...... did I end up so far away from such great pubs?

A great night was had by all, Thanks to Scouse for the entertainment i dont thing we could have got better had we paid for it!!

Thankfully Scouse remained dry during what little sleep the house had, bed at 6 up at 9 to a glass of red wine. And talking of wine CHEERS brother of Larry (SID)!

Dont worry for waking us Rob the sound of Scouse,s renditions of a few Liverpool songs woke the whole estate lol.

Hopefully Liverpool wont be playing at lunchtime next time so wont have to suffer with a hangover watching the Redmen. (the loss just compounded the suffering! )

Thanks again to everyone for a great night plans a,foot for the next one. CANT WAIT!!
