A fair turnout in Wrexham. Many younger people there which was pleasing. It was conducted as a full service at the War Memorial. After a few years absence, I will certainly attend again next year.

The Corbetts went to the Remembrance Day service at our Memorial Park, cold but dry thank heavens. Lovely service and parade. Doesn't it make you swell with pride when you see 'our boys' regardless of regiment or age etc? It does me everytime.
Went out for lunch afterwards but oh how I miss the curries in the Mess with your mates afterwards.
As has already been said it was great to see so many younger ones around and parading. It just shows people do care and we will remember them.

    Re: Royal Festival of Rememberance

I've just watched the Wilfred Owen docco on BBC1. It was very moving and insightful. He died a week before the Great War ended. They were holed up in a cellar in a farm, all ranks alike. In his last letter to his mother, his last sentence is ..

"Of this I am certain, you could not be visted by a band of friends half so fine as surround me here"

    Says it all really.
