Arthritis tip
At risk of being called Hypo..Hypercon.. SICKNOTE, I picked up a tip from my Osteopath during a session which may have some value. I was suffering from a clicky neck which jammed occasionally. He examined me, diagnosed Arthritis then gave my neck a good hammering to "break down" the offending calcium. He explained that Arthritis basically is calcium which hardens like bone and causes hard nodules. He also went on to explain that like a piece of wet chalk, it can be broken down before it hardens. I had the said nodules on some of my finger joints so he showed me how to break them down. After showering place the fingers on the sink and crush down on the nodules repeat this process every day. It is quite painfull at first but after a few days those nodules which have not fully hardened will start to break down. One nodule on my index finger was causing the end of the finger to go off at an angle. I t has now straightened up since breaking down the calcium. This is not a cure, and you will have to continue the exercise as the nodules will come back but you will be able to keep those nodules from causing you hands to "claw"
Also whilst in the shower interlock your fingers and push your palms away from you, this will also assist your finger joints and keeps them straight. Dilwyn this will not help your STUKKA finger (Freedom of Cardiff murder ball). Nick
