This is my first post on this site, and as I have looked through it has made compelling reading.
Hope someone may have or can help me find information / pictures of my Grandad Charles Henry Fellows.
dob 04/05/1884.
I know he served in India & France and his last rank was that of 2nd lieutenant.
He is thought to have left the army around 1920. Sadly he was not to remain with his wife and this is where I am stuck.
I have been trying for over 2 years to trace hime through all the usual BMD records but nothing matches, and of course I do not know what county he went to.
His wife when she remarried in 1953 at a good old age called herself a widow. How did she know, was it a slip.
Family seem to think she contested a will that he left so this, I think would still make them married. Still
SO 1920-1953 where was he?
Did he keep in touch with other amy friends?
Did he belong to any old commerades clubs?
Would the RWF be notified of his death?
Although I think this unlikey, I still hold hope.
I have downloaded his medal card and it shows just the victory medal & british medal, if it would help to see a copy of it at all I will post it here.
