    Hi Carol,
Where in the same position as you the last known contact we had with Rob was at Dewsbury Town Hall in a concert that the Band gave some 25 years ago. I'm now facilitating the RWF Band Association and we have had a reunion each of the past 5 years in Ruabon on the Friday night of the Comrades weekend. Perhaps if you went through to Army Records they could help you. They have been less than helpful with me.
If you catch up with Rob please ask him to contact me on 07814 601044 or via this site as there are many members from his era and peer group who attend the Band Reunion

    Best wishes

    Hi Carol,
    Welcome to the forum
    Paul,
I last saw Rob in Minden 68/69.
I then, as you mentioned, attended at a rehearsal at Dewsbury Town Hall, which had been advertised in the local paper.
Being so close to where I live,it was too good a chance to miss,in hope that there may be a couple of lads still left in that I knew?
I spoke to the obvious BM and he said yes there are a couple of lads from the 60,s
After a while Williams 16 and Wayne Jones 44,came up to me,never altered, knew them straight away, but there was no sign of Rob Peel or mention of him. As far as I knew, these were the only 'old'lads left from my time,if he was there, I feel gutted that I didn't get to say Hi,as we all go back a long time .
I used to issue leave passes in the old days,I recall,Rob's address being something like 38,Levenshulme, Manchester, but after so long,no doubt Carol will have known this address.
Good do Paul, waiting for next year, catch up with you later.

    Try www.192.com

Its an excellent facility. Several members have found old friends that way. One in particular missing since the 1950's.

It searches electoral registers, land registrys etc. If Robin is alive and paying Council tax, he will be listed somewhere.

I did a quick search on his details in Dewsbury, this one came up:

    R PEEL 12 HOSTINGLEY LANE THORNHILL DEWSBURY WF120JB 01924 455 211
