    topic on the Bereavements area

just sat for past 15 minutes looking at the Bereavements area...had a few minutes of very sad thoughts...and thought it would be a nice idea to just thank again the forum staff and all who hav served with the royal welch...we hav had the pleasure of sharing a very special moment in time 1 way or another...together as friends and comrades...

alot of the names i hav no idea on who they are...however seeing sum of the names i recognised i clearly felt shocked and saddened...hugo and john whitehead i recall clearly and the photos just bring the memorys of laughs we hav shared...i will remember the laughs and can only thank the forums for helping remember some who i had forgotten...i will insure they r not forgotten again...

THANK YOU ALL FOR READING THIS POST...maybe we hav all just had a moment to think of sum 1 we can now remember together...no matter who they are...are thoughts r with them...

Hi Lee. I know where you are son.
Dependency, reliability honesty assistance, all mount up to comradeship, and, when you see?hear of comrades ,friends, passing on to the great parade ground, you step back abit and think about the good times.
Whether it be illness or conflict(Far too many) It affects everyone.
Me and my comrades,IN MY TIME were never confrontational,so my colleagues are passing,oh so too often of 'old age' illnesses, rather than the results of,dare I say it 'War'
We all recall our mates Lee.
I have a tot of whisky every night, and I look up to the sky,on my 2nd,3rd, who counts, and say "Good night lads, sleep well, you deserve it"

    Take care pal.

What a lovely thing to say and do. You're right they do deserve their rest but how sad many are resting several years before they should be.
Our thoughts are with all of them. God Bless them, till we meet again ~ and what a party that'll be !!
Take care and stay safe all
