    MPGS

Just wondering how many ex Royal Welch are currently serving with the Military Provist Guard Service (MPGS), I know at RAF Valley there is me, Paul Jones 80, Mad Mitch, Chris Roberts and Dve Humphreys 06. I have heard that Duggie (or Ken not Sure) is at Donnington?

Cheers Al, i'm sure there is a lot more back in green, not a bad job for ex forces, be you Army, Navy or RAF. Worth considering for those out there that are at a loose end. Only requirements are that you have served more then 3 years and are under 55. You get all the benifits of the Army minus 3% of the X factor and you either continue your pension or if you have done 22, start a new one.

Hi Robbo, they have only just started to recruit on the web, the best way is to go through Army Careers or phone the MPGS direct in SouthWick Park, they have there own recruiter there. The only phone number I have for there is 02392 284814 (Mil 93835 4814), just ask for the recruiter. By they way I also forgot Pat Duggan is also at RAF Valley.

If you live in South Wales, you can get in touch with me at the Armed Forces Careers Office in Cardiff on 02920 726823 or send your address to me and I will send you a leaflet. I deal with MPGS in my office, but then all Army careers offices do. For anyone not aware who I am, Dai Williams 72 and I am the Senior Recruiter in cardiff.

    Re: MPGS

Richie, that would be the MGS at Capel Curig, they are more or less civies, MPGS sign back into the Army on a local engagement on 3 year contracts till you are 55, you also start a new pension if you have done 22 years and continue your old one if you have done less. You get all the same benifts that you had before i.e medical, dental and quarters.

Cheers Mike, Sounds a good package, it seems funny though, you fight your way up through the ranks, do your time & end up stagging on the gate again. ( I know you do more than that especially during these troubled times).
