    Veterans Lapel Badge....

    Appologies in advance if this has been posted before.

    As 'Veterans' I take it you have all applied for your "UK Armed Forces Veterans Lapel Badge".

    It is free to all Service personnel.

    If you have a look "www.veteransagency.mod.uk" website you will find the necessary link to the above badge.

    You can apply by filling in a word document and emailing it. Takes about 2-3 weeks for your badge to arrive.

    It is very good. Ive not yet removed mine from the box it came in.....

    Couple of points:

    "Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests for badges at this time from people whose Service began after 31 December 1984."

    25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS CAMPAIGN

    "Veterans who will be attending the 25th Anniversary of the Falkland Islands Campaign at Horse Guards Parade on 17 June 2007 will automatically be sent an HM Armed Forces Veteran’s Badge with their tickets and should not apply to the Veterans Agency"

    I am sure that there are many of you out there who would like to receive this badge and will wear it with pride. Im just sorry that I found out about it too late for my late father in law (Dill 'Taff' Morse) to get one as being a 'very, very' proud RWF he would have worn it with pride....

    Again, sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere...

    Had mine about a month,beautiful piece,to be proudly worn.BUT::

    Father/mother in law over for barbeque last weekend,couple of whiskies,and he started
    telling me of his 'special services' during the war! he is 86 the old lad.

    Anyway he went on to tell me he and the mother in law,(Something in the RAF,a driver I
    think )had been requested to go to their local town hall to be presented with a special 'veterans' medal.he took great pleasure in showing it me this last weekend,,

    I HADN'THE HEART::
